Do you offer trade discounts?
MVV is a custom shop that produces handcrafted, high quality “made to order” pieces that offers competitive pricing. However, we have established a loyalty program that offers trade discounts upon verification of appropriate credentials and upon reaching the minimum purchase order. Can I customize one of your pieces?
Absolutely. We realize the sizes listed may not fit everyone’s needs so we offer our clients the ability to customize any of our pieces or create their very own. Please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss the details of your project. We would love to assist you in creating your dream piece.
Can I design my own piece and get a quote?
YES! Please send us your ideas and we’ll be happy to create a piece with you. Visit our custom page here.
Do you have a storefront we can visit?
We do not have any retail locations as we focus on high quality and handcrafted, made to order pieces.
Can I come to your shop?
Our warehouse is closed to the public.
Can I get a sample?
Samples can be purchased at a $50 fee or free of charge with a deposit.
Why is your name “Mi Vida Vintage” when you don’t sell vintage?
We started this as a DIY hobby of refurbishing vintage furniture which turned into an obsession which led to a business being born. Keeping our vintage roots in our design aesthetic, we didn’t see any need to change the name.
Can I get a render of my piece?
We offer complimentary 3D renders when an order for a customized piece is placed and after a deposit is received. Should you require any edits, they are an additional charge and not included in the complimentary price. If you would like a render of piece without placing an order, prices will vary based on the scope of the project. Details here.
What type of finishes do you use?
We use different finishes on different pieces. We typically specialize in high gloss or polished automotive finishes but we use a variety of lacquers, stains, resins, faux, gold leaf, etc. For solid colors, we prefer to use Benjamin Moore colors as they are the easiest for us to match. If you require a certain finish please inquire as prices may vary.
Can you use specific materials?
Yes, we can use any type of materials you would like. We can use hard woods, MDF, plywoods, under-mount glides, side rails, we can dovetail and finish the drawers, etc. We have standard materials we use to keep our costs as competitive as possible but please inquire if you require specific materials and we’d be happy to quote your piece. Prices may vary.
How long is your lead time?
All of our pieces are “built to order” and we do not currently carry inventory. All pieces require 8-10 weeks production time + shipping time which varies by carrier. We do our best to stay within our projected lead times and notify our customers of any delays. Rush pieces may be available on a case by case basis depending on the nature of the job.
Can you do a piece in a shorter amount of time?
We are able to provide rush services in some instances for an upcharge. Fees are dependent on the required lead time. Please contact us for a quote if you need your piece rushed.
Do you offer local delivery?
We do not have our own in house delivery source but we can recommend multiple carriers in the LA area [prices may vary] OR feel free to arrange your own delivery or pick up your piece from our warehouse by appointment.
Where do you offer shipping and who do you use?
We do not have in-house shipping. We offer white glove shipping throughout the US and parts of Canada through a third party freight company. Intl. Shipping quotes are given upon request. We have multiple carriers that we work with, please contact us for a quote: email@example.com. All carriers are fully insured.
What if my piece arrived damaged?
We thoroughly inspect all of our pieces before they leave our facility. Since all of our shipping is booked through third parties and they are fully insured, please be sure to inspect your items upon arrival. If you notice any damage, please do not sign the delivery documents and notify the shipping company on site. They will be able to file a claim for you to cover any damage. MVV is not responsible for damage through a third party.
